About the Role:

Matterport is looking to hire an adaptable Product Marketer for our Hardware Portfolio. This product marketer will be responsible for deeply understanding customer needs, partnering with product management on new hardware development roadmap, and importantly, managing the marketing and sales plans to achieve our revenue goals.Matterport has a variety of products that serve different customer’s needs. This person will not only be responsible for overseeing marketing and sales to achieve revenue goals for more established products in our portfolio, but also unlocking rapid experimentation to refine product market fit for our newest products in market – Axis, our motorized mount for smartphone capture, and Pro3, our newest, fastest lidar camera.

At the heart of this role is the ability to be a trusted partner to our hardware business, a “full-stack” marketer that can orchestrate epic launches for our own cutting-edge technologies, as well as enable our hardware and accessories partner ecosystem to thrive via scaled GTM programs. You will (1) own and formulate our hardware portfolio GTM strategy globally, cementing Matterport’s position as the most flexible market leader for 3D Digital Twin capture and creation, (2) collaborate closely with our regional Product Managers, Sales Directors, Solutions Product Marketing, and Vertical subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure we are helping customers understand which hardware or capture solution is best for their needs (3) driving strategic, unified sales and marketing strategy across our Matterport.com and diverse, international channel and ecommerce ecosystems.

What you will do:

  • Define and help execute our hardware go-to-market and growth campaigns, via consistent partnership across Product, Product Marketing, Integrated Marketing, and Sales.
  • Ensure sales and eCommerce teams are supported to consistently deliver their revenue and sales goals, including partnership with our pricing team to architect hardware promotional strategy.
  • Take a portfolio-first approach, understanding that you will be responsible for overseeing a broad portfolio of multiple SKUs designed to address a broad range of customer needs. Identifying which products to focus on and how to leverage and scale your impact will be critical for this role.
  • Evangelize our market opportunity with our hardware and accessory partner channel, and enable them to ride the wave as we create a brand new category. Partner success is our success.
  • Direct and sequence new product/feature launches, enable all customer facing teams with the right mix of assets, programs and content, and influence the product roadmap.
  • Champion and evangelize our technology story internally and externally by crafting a compelling narrative that drives authentic conversations with prospects, signal-boosts our success with customers, partners and developers, and paves the way for category creation with analysts and influencers.
  • Partner with demand generation, campaign, and content teams to ensure we are telling our platform story consistently across all of our channels. Done right, product marketing is the messaging API for the rest of the company.
  • Who you are:

  • BS/BA degree; MBA is a plus
  • 3 to 5 years of experience working in hardware product marketing role, with experience working managing across a portfolio of multiple hardware products.
  • Proven ability to operate in a collaborative, fast-paced cross-functional environment, and provide thought leadership, guidance, market context and competitive intelligence to drive consensus and reach key decisions.
  • Experience working with technical stakeholders, sales leaders, and integrated marketing teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, including the ability to present complex material to customers, press, and analysts in a compelling way.
  • Highly organized with acute attention to detail and a proven track record of working in cross-functional, hypergrowth environments.

    The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000 to $225,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
