  • Maintain safe, clean lab operations; enforce safety protocols and 5S.
  • Operate and calibrate characterization equipment (DSC, TGA, rheometers, FTIR, SEM/EDS).
  • Perform sample prep and testing with traceability.
  • Review data, provide initial interpretation, escalate off-nominal results.
  • Develop, write, and maintain SOPs for lab processes and equipment.
  • Manage daily lab workload to meet program priorities and drive improvements.

🎯 Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency.
  • 2+ years hands-on materials testing or characterization.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years in materials processing or characterization, with sample prep and contamination control.
  • Experience operating DSC, TGA, rheometers, SEM/EDS, microscopy.
  • Experience in production-support or high-volume testing.
  • Ability to write clear SOPs and follow complex procedures with high attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with engineers and cross-functional teams.
