Materials Characterization Technician II (CNC programmer/Operator)

📋 Description

• Operate and program CNC lathes, mills, and wire EDM.
• Use CAD/CAM to create/modify designs and produce G-code.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate equipment to aerospace standards.
• Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams on machining solutions.
• Develop standardized workflows and document machining procedures.

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years of hands-on machining with CNC lathes, mills, or EDM.
• Maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration to ensure performance.
• Experience with precision tools (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators).
• Ability to read/verify engineering drawings, blueprints, and specs.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM and G-code programming.
• Strong GD&T understanding and tolerance concepts.
• Nice-to-have: CAD/CAM suites like Esprit and NX.
