  • Identify and implement machining processes to improve cost, quality, and production rate for Raptor hardware.
  • Collaborate with design, manufacturing, machinists, technicians, and quality to ensure robust, solvable processes.
  • Partner with design to implement DFM updates and manage production changeovers.
  • Aggressively implement machining process controls that allow parts to run lights-out.
  • Be responsible for part family quality; ensure dimensions meet requirements with low overhead.
  • Drive machining toward SPC-enabled environments and develop capability tools.

🎯 Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or physics.
  • 1+ years manufacturing experience (student projects or internships qualify).
  • Strong experience with machining concepts and producing hardware.
  • Experience in design or product development engineering.
  • 3D CAD experience in mechanical component or tooling design.
  • Experience with process development from R&D to volume manufacturing.
