- Own operations on 2 large 3-axis mills and a VTL; improve high-volume work.
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, reliability, internal teams, and vendors.
- Create work instructions, specs, and best practices; standardize processes.
- Establish new machining work centers; tooling and process definition.
- Support shop floor with live issue resolution and upstream feedback.
- Provide DFM feedback to structures teams during development and prototype builds.
🎯 Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing/aero/mechanical engineering or related field; 2+ years experience.
- 3D/2D design and drafting per ASME Y14.5M; NX preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interface with engineering and manufacturing groups.
- Direct experience with CNC milling and turning across multiple materials.
- Understanding of machine programming (G-code) and machine set-up.
- Strong fundamentals in statics, mechanics of materials, process improvement.
