- Own operations on 3-axis mills (20’x8’) and VTL; improve high-volume machining.
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, reliability teams and vendors to drive progress.
- Create work instructions, specs, and best practices; standardize manufacturing processes.
- Establish new machining work centers; define tooling and processes for Terran R parts.
- Support shop floor with live issue resolution; provide upstream feedback on new tech.
- Provide DFM feedback to structures teams during development and prototyping.
🎯 Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, aerospace or mechanical engineering; 2+ years related experience.
- 3D/2D design and drafting per ASME Y14.5M; NX preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interface with engineering and manufacturing teams for manufacturability.
- Direct experience with CNC milling and turning across multiple materials.
- Understanding of G-code programming and machine setup.
- Solid fundamentals in statics, mechanics of materials, process improvement, fastening and machining.
