Manager/Staff Software Engineer, Embedded Platform

📋 Description

• Own and evolve embedded platform for a growing fleet of devices.
• Build provisioning, updating, and monitoring for device software with minimal downtime.
• Improve reliability, observability, and incident response across device and networks.
• Lead a small team (1–2 engineers), setting technical direction while hands-on.
• Partner with hardware, firmware, cloud, data/AI, and security teams to align standards.
• Enable faster iteration through automation, testing, and release processes.

🎯 Requirements

• Experience shipping and operating production systems end-to-end.
• Strong software fundamentals, even with hardware/embedded background.
• Hands-on with Linux and cloud infra (AWS preferred).
• Experience with infrastructure as code: Terraform, CDK, CloudFormation.
• Proficiency in Python or TypeScript.
• Experience supporting large-scale device fleets or user bases.
• Ability to influence across teams in a fast-moving startup.
• Startup experience preferred; Series C/D a plus.
• Prior management experience a plus but not required.
