• Lead, mentor, and grow an engineering team for Affirm's Comms platform across channels (SMS, email, push, physical).

• Mentor engineers to improve designs, code quality, and testing.
\n
• Own availability, reliability, and performance of your team’s systems.
\n
• Partner with product managers to design and build best-in-class Comms systems.
\n
• Collaborate with diverse engineering teams using the Comms platform to engage customers across the loan lifecycle.
\n
• Build relationships with senior management; participate in on-call rotation.
\n

🎯 Requirements

\n
• 7+ years as a software engineer with leadership responsibilities
\n
• 1+ year of experience as an engineering manager
\n
• Experience growing and leading a high-performing engineering team
\n
• Fluency in backend development
\n
• Experience architecting, building, launching, and maintaining consumer-scale products
\n
• Strong cross-team communication and collaboration
\n
