Manager, Security Defense Engineering

📋 Description

• Manage, mentor, and hire for a team of 6 security engineers and analysts.
• Support career growth, manage performance, and maintain high technical standards.
• Lead Infra Security in Vault, VPNs, LDAP, and Network IDS sensors.
• Oversee IaC automation (Ansible/Chef/Terraform) and IAM/endpoint security.
• Maintain on-call health; escalate during outages as a secondary point of contact.
• Lead Security Analysts in building the first line of defense and detections.

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years leading security engineers or analysts.
• Comfortable with 6 direct reports and elevating talent.
• Background in Infrastructure Security, Security Operations, or Security Engineering.
• Experience with IAM, ZTNA, VPNs, Endpoint, Vault, IDS, and observability.
• Direct experience with security monitoring programs; mature enterprise defense.
• Servant leadership with clear priorities and team visibility.
