- Drive engine system architecture trades and CONOPS for Terran R.
- Manage engine interfaces and negotiate requirements to optimize the vehicle.
- Support engine system analysis, simulation, testing, and tool development.
- Lead and mentor a team of propulsion engineers; coordinate with teams.
- Be a self-starter, drive collaborative projects, and coach others.
- Role is full-time onsite at our Long Beach factory with travel to sites (~15%).
🎯 Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, technology, or mathematics.
- 8+ years in complex system development/test; at least 2 years with liquid-propellant rocket engines.
- Experience leading teams and mentoring engineers.
- Strong grounding in fluid mechanics and thermodynamics.
- Ability to deliver on ambitious schedules and drive project completion.
- Nice to have: knowledge of valves, instrumentation and propulsion subsystems.
