  • External and Compliance Reporting: Oversee monthly, quarterly, annual external reports and compliance requirements.
  • Automate accounting processes for external reporting and controls.
  • Primary contact for external auditors on financial reporting.
  • Research, analyze, and interpret complex US GAAP for operations.
  • Prepare technical accounting memos for complex topics.
  • Lead policy development and dissemination across finance functions.
  • Lead implementation of newly issued accounting standards; coordinate changes.
  • Coordinate with FP&A to align external results with internal forecasts.
  • Prepare internal management reporting and presentations for leadership.
  • Maintain internal controls over financial reporting related to external processes.
  • Streamline reporting and planning using financial systems/BI tools.

🎯 Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA license is required.
  • 5-7 years progressive experience; 3+ years in Big 4 or large government contracting.
  • Deep knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Experience researching complex technical accounting issues; memos.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; explain complex issues clearly.
  • Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration across levels.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong computer skills; ability to leverage tech in contract administration.
  • Excellent time management and attention to detail.
  • High integrity, ethics, and professional conduct.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and drive cross-boundary alignment.
