Manager, Motor Mechanical

📋 Description

• Manage and mentor a high-performing mechanical design team.
• Track priorities, allocate resources, and manage timelines for motor milestones.
• Direct stator/rotor design ensuring integrity, weight, and thermal goals.
• Lead design reviews and sign-off CAD drawings, GD&T, and specifications.
• Collaborate with CAE to define FEA strategies for strength, dynamic, and fatigue.
• Oversee testing and validate thermal predictions with physical data.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 7+ years in mechanical design of electric machines (motors/generators).
• 2+ years of direct people management.
• Deep understanding of motor construction, lamination stacks, windings, insulation.
• 3D CAD (NX preferred) and 2D drawings with GD&T; materials/manufacturing for EV motors.
• Thermal management and rotating machinery structural analysis.
