📋 Description

• Extreme ownership of avionics engineers to enable rapid design, integration, test, and launch.
• Drive conceptual design, architecture trades, and first-order sizing; define requirements where lacking.
• Optimize development speed, mass, and cost of avionics.
• Perform first-principles analysis and FEA to optimize designs.
• Incorporate DFM principles, drive first article builds, and enable production handoff.
• Provide hands-on production support and drive design/process improvements for efficiency.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or math.
• 5+ years of professional experience in mechanical design of components/assemblies.
• 3+ years of experience leading with direct reports.
• Creative problem solver capable of cross-discipline collaboration and risk-based decisions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, autonomous, demanding environment.
• Self-motivated with strong multi-tasking, organizational, communication and documentation skills.
• Solid understanding and application of GD&T.
