Manager I, Engineering - Core Analytics

📋 Description

• Lead a hands-on engineering team of 2–4 data engineers across Paris and NYC.
• Define architecture, priorities, and roadmap for the Data Access Platform.
• Contribute to design and code; ship critical platform components.
• Partner with Applied AI, Product Analytics, PMs, and platform teams on data contracts, APIs, SLAs, and observability.
• Ensure data security, governance, lineage, monitoring, and compliance guardrails.
• Plan and scale the platform to enable broader adoption and usage.

🎯 Requirements

• Hands-On Engineering Manager who contributes to design and code.
• Experience with data pipelines and at-scale data engineering (ETL/ELT, streaming and/or batch).
• Practical knowledge of AWS, Spark, and Iceberg (or equivalent table formats).
• Collaborative partner to data scientists/analysts for model training and analytics.
• Operationally strong with SLAs, observability, incident response, and governance.
• Pragmatic architect who balances short-term delivery with long-term platform goals.
