Manager, Government Affairs and Weather Enterprise Partnerships

📋 Description

• Primary liaison to U.S. Congress; advance policy positions.
• Monitor legislation and hearings impacting the weather enterprise.
• Engage with NOAA, NWS, NASA, FEMA to drive partnerships.
• Represent AccuWeather to AMS; integrate expertise into publications.
• Lead engagement with weather industry trade associations.
• Coordinate testimony, briefing materials, and comments.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in political science or policy; meteorology a plus.
• Minimum 5 years in government affairs or public policy.
• Strong advocacy and communication skills; able to navigate tough policy debates.
• Existing relationships with Congressional staff or agencies preferred.
• Experience with AMS or NWA strongly preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.
