Manager, Environmental Test

📋 Description

• Lead and scale avionics environmental test ops for Terran R.
• Oversee vibration, shock, and thermal labs; execute QTP/ATP.
• Develop and guide test technicians; drive lab scheduling and standardization.
• Partner with Avionics Design, Manufacturing, Quality, and Test Eng to test hardware safely and on milestones.
• Identify bottlenecks; improve throughput with scalable lab systems.
• Lead to vehicle reliability and launch readiness.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing, or related field.
• 6+ years in environmental testing, manufacturing ops, or aerospace production with leadership.
• Strong understanding of environmental testing, including vibration, shock, and thermal testing of avionics hardware.
• Experience supporting qualification and acceptance testing for flight hardware with structured procedures.
• Background in lab operations, production support, scheduling, and cross-functional execution with eng, manufacturing, and exec teams.
• Experience driving operational improvements, asset utilization, and process standardization in labs.
• Nice to have: familiarity with aerospace test standards (SMC-S-016, MIL-STD-1540, DO-160) and AS9100 quality systems.
