- Review new products and assess financial impact (accounting, tax, risk, ops).
- Document flow of funds and coordinate Finance/IT to ensure data flows front-to-back.
- Build trusted partnerships with Product, Engineering, Design to align on roadmaps for Finance.
- Scope, design, and implement controls to address key risks and ensure financial control effectiveness.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects supporting Finance growth and Coinbase.
🎯 Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and CPA Certification required
- 8+ years in financial audit/attestation or technical accounting, preferably Big Four or public company.
- Experience with derivatives and financing product operations and/or risk management in a large bank or broker/dealer.
- Highly motivated with strong project management and communication skills.
- Ability to partner with business/tech leaders to solve complex accounting issues and explain them clearly.
- Comfortable in a hyper-growth environment, taking initiative and delivering quickly.
