Manager, Banking Operations

📋 Description

• Lead a Banking Operations team with clear priorities, coaching, and accountable docs.
• Oversee monitoring across Fedwire, SWIFT, ACH, checks, and stablecoins.
• Build scalable onboarding, QA, escalation, and coverage frameworks.
• Identify high-impact AI use cases and drive adoption for speed and quality.
• Partner with Compliance, Legal, Product, Engineering, and banks to strengthen controls.
• Drive continuous improvements by root-cause analysis and automation.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in US banking operations, payments operations, compliance operations, or related function within a bank, fintech, or regulated environment.
• 2+ years of people management experience with coaching, performance, and accountability.
• Knowledge of high-risk money movement workflows and payment rails (wires, ACH, checks, SWIFT) or equivalent monitoring environments.
• Fluency with AI tools such as Claude, Hex, Granola, and Glean; ability to apply AI in a control-heavy setting.
• Strong judgment for risk assessment, escalation decisions, and audit-ready documentation.
• Experience partnering cross-functionally with Compliance, Legal, Product, Engineering, Treasury, Finance, or external banking partners.
• Clear written and verbal communication, translating complexity into concise guidance.
• Builder mindset with operational discipline and ability to scale through data/automation.
