📋 Description

• Own full-cycle payroll operations end-to-end and related accounting.
• Build-from-scratch payroll function; establish processes and controls.
• Lead initiatives like PEO exit and in-house payroll platform.
• Design end-to-end payroll processes with maker/checker workflows.
• Own monthly payroll close, journal entries, accruals and reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance across multiple states and tax filings.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years in payroll with multi-state full-cycle processing.
• Hands-on accounting: journal entries, accruals, reconciliations.
• Experience in a high-growth environment building processes.
• Knowledge of multi-state payroll tax compliance (941s, 940s, SUI).
• Experience with modern payroll/HRIS (Rippling, Workday, ADP, or equivalent).
• Comfortable cross-functional collaboration with People Ops, Finance, and vendors.
