A bit about Lyra…

Lyra Technology Group is a family of industry leading technology service businesses. Our companies are operated independently by exceptional management teams. Companies that join our group retain the employees, name, and culture that have made them successful. As a platform of Evergreen Services Group, we never divest from businesses we partner with and approach every decision with the goal of driving sustainable and healthy growth over the long term.

Lyra Technology Group is seeking a Senior Controller to join one of our operating companies near Philadelphia, PA on a hybrid in-office cadence.

The Senior Controller will also own several business functions and receive significant exposure to the organization, including reporting directly to the CEO.  We are seeking a creative problem solver with a growth mindset, as this opportunity represents a fast track to higher-level accounting and finance opportunities.

Your work as a Senior Controller includes several components:

  • Financial reporting and analysis: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (e.g., balance sheets, income statements) following GAAP standards. Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement, and report findings to senior management.
  • Budgeting and forecasting: Develop and manage annual and quarterly budgets, including forecasting revenue and expenses.
  • Oversight of accounting operations: Oversee daily accounting activities, cash management, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Internal controls and compliance: Develop, implement, and maintain internal control systems to ensure financial accuracy and compliance with regulations and laws. Coordinate with external auditors and manage tax filings.
  • Strategic leadership: Contribute to the development of short- and long-term financial strategies and provide financial insights to guide business decisions.
  • Process improvement: Identify areas for improvement in accounting processes and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Our ideal Senior Controller has the following qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: Significant experience in accounting or finance is necessary.
  • Analytical skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are crucial for analyzing financial data and complex transactions.
  • Technical skills: Proficiency with accounting software and financial analysis tools is expected. Knowledge or prior use of Business Central is a plus.
  • Communication skills: Excellent communication abilities are needed to present complex financial information to both staff and non-specialist executives.

This role offers a base compensation of up to $120,000 per year and will operate out of the office on a hybrid basis. As we are not offering relocation at this time, we are prioritizing candidates local to Philly.

If you are looking for an advancement opportunity in your career -- consider applying today! We look forward to reviewing your application. If you are deemed to be a qualified applicant, a member of our team will reach out for next steps.
