The Role: Maintenance Technician - Water Treatment

Availability: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, varying hours, and afternoon availability

What you do (Responsibilities):

  • Train and perform various functions related to water treatment
  • Perform water treatment tasks systematically
  • Complete forms related to the Water Treatment Program
  • Maintain the grounds at the 3 facilities: litter pick up, snow removal, lawn care as required
  • Maintain the recycling program: call for pickups, organize and process recycling and load recycling trailer
  • Execute tasks that have come through the Hippo ticketing system and follow all procedures
  • Perform a variety of tasks related to repairs and maintenance
  • Oversee contractors and service providers and ensure they follow Health & Safety guidelines
  • Collect and arrange pick-ups for hazardous waste, recycling waste, and product destruction as required
  • Act as a Lush representative for the Facilities Team and their program to the occupants of the building
  • Must complete and maintain training and certifications: Fork Lift (reach/counter balance), TDG, and Waste Manifest

Who you are (Qualifications):

 Required:

  • Valid forklift certification 
  • Able to do physical work for 8-hour shifts, on your feet, and lift 50 pounds
  • Proficiency with using and maintaining power tools
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Reliable, consistent attendance, punctual, and dependable
  • Able to investigate and problem-solve solutions for repairs and maintenance
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills
  • Proven ability to accurately handle a high volume of transactions, meet deadlines, and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to travel between 3 facilities and to suppliers
  • Proven track record for maintaining a positive attitude
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize, and organize multiple tasks
  • Fluent in English: reading, writing, and speaking
  • Proficient in Google Programs (Chat, Sheets, Docs, Gmail)

Preferred:

  • Experience performing water treatment tasks
  • Experience working in a Manufacturing environment
  • Experience with warehouse equipment (picking carts, handheld scanners, pump-trucks)
  • Forklift, scissor lift, health & safety, TDG, and first aid certificate
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Accustomed to working in a highly seasonal, high-pressure environment
  • Flexible to work morning shifts, afternoon shifts, weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime
