The impact you’ll have:

Reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel, the Paralegal will support the qualified lawyers in the Legal Team by efficiently dealing with a range of legal tasks aligned to the company’s strategy.

Your day-to-day:

  • Commercial & Regulatory

    • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating NDAs and routine commercial contracts

    • Handling queries from PR, domains inbox and other channels

    • Reviewing trade mark watch reports and escalating where necessary

    • Assistance with operational privacy matters from time-to-time

    • Horizon scanning for relevant legal/regulatory developments

  • CoSec

    • Assisting with KYC/copy documents/certification

    • Supporting with corporate filings and related Board approvals

    • Assisting with planning for Board meetings

  • Complaints/Disputes

    • Supporting on legal issues arising from consumer complaints

  • Legal Operations

    • First review of routine queries

    • Helping create FAQs, guidance notes to enable self-service of routine queries

    • Routine internal reporting to key stakeholders in the business

    • Monitoring the legal “front door/workspace” and allocating requests for legal support to relevant members of the Legal Team

    • Maintaining the Risk Register

    • Implementing updates to improve the legal workspace and related processes

  • Document Management

    • Filing signed contracts/ and agreements and other documents on contract management system and cloud file storage

    • Requests for copy contracts/documents

Your skillset:

  • Excellent practical understanding of legal principles

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (able to articulate complex information to someone with no prior knowledge of the issue)

  • Strong organisational skills with an ability to prioritise, multi-task, and work to deadlines

  • Team player with a proactive, meticulous, and enthusiastic approach

  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of computer literacy

  • Natural confidence and inquisitiveness (able to get to the bottom of an issue through research and asking the right questions)

  • Ability to identify and suggest improvements in processes and procedures

Desirable:

  • Law degree or equivalent

  • LPC/BVC/CILEX type qualification

  • Understanding of and/or background in the travel industry a distinct advantage
