Senior Technical Writer

AtLogicMonitor, technical content is key to driving customer enablement and product adoption. We believe content is product and an important part of our customers' journey.

As aSenior Technical Writerat LogicMonitor, you’ll work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating daily with software engineers, product managers, other technical writers, and editors. In our Agile environment, you will continuously update your content to support new features and content enhancements.

To succeed in this role, you must be a skilled and engaged developer ofenterprise software documentationwho is passionate about learning new concepts, open to new ideas, and clearly explaining sophisticated technologies. You understand hands-on investigation is fundamental to delivering useful content to your audience.

Here's a closer look at this key role:

• Manage multiple complex documentation projects simultaneously, balancing priorities across fast-moving product initiatives while ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
• Create, update, and maintain a wide range of documentation types:user guides, Best Practices Guides, release notes, product guides, API docs, integration guides, and developer-focused content.
• Adopt new tools and methods, such asAI-assisted authoring and productivity tools,to add value and improve efficiency, content consistency, and user experience.
• Contribute to our own roadmap that advances our mission in addition to supporting the LogicMonitor product roadmap. EVERYONE on our team owns our roadmap. Do you like influencing your work and your working environment?
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams-engineering, QA, product management, UX, and global stakeholders (some of whom may be remote)to gather information, validate technical accuracy, and ensure content reflects the product truth.
• Peer edit content for clarity, brevity, and adherence to our Style Guide.

What You'll Need:

• Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, English, Computer Science, or relevant field experience.
• 5+ yearsof experience in technical writing, with at least 3+ years writing enterprise software or cloud product documentation.
• Expertise in authoring tools (DITA/XML-based tools, MadCap Flare, FrameMaker) and version management systems such as Git or CCMS.
• Demonstrated ability to grasp complex technical concepts and craft them into clear, accurate user-friendly documentation targeted atdevelopers or infrastructure and operations engineering teams.
• Experience working in anAgile environment, preferably with both onsite and geographically distributed teams.
• Strong collaboration, project management, and multitasking skills.

Distinguishing Characteristics:

• Familiarity withAI-assisted writing and productivity tools(e.g., ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, or similar), including effective prompting techniques for generating, refining, or validating technical content.
• Experience contributing toAI-driven documentation workflows(e.g., structured content reuse, intelligent search, knowledge base optimization).
• Experience with DITA and topic-based authoring preferred
• Experience using WordPress, Google Suite, JIRA, and Confluence.
• Strong understanding of SaaS platforms, IT operations, and observability tools.
