Our client, a fast-growing travel and tourism startup, is hiring a Travel Planning Specialist for Custom & Group Tours to work with our clients to create unique, tailor-made itineraries and custom quotes. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about travel, like to problem-solve, and genuinely enjoy researching and finding solutions for clients.


Our client connects people with the best tours and activities around the world, while providing industry-leading service and support. As a member of our Custom and Groups team, you will be responsible for designing, quoting, selling, and executing excursions for our travel advisors all around the world.

Responsibilites

  • Communicate with clients via email and phone using our internal ticket syste

  • Impress travel advisors with prompt, professional, and friendly service.

  • Collaborate daily with tour operators worldwide (in English) to design custom and group itineraries.

  • Create bespoke proposals and quotes tailored to each group leader’s specifications.

  • Manage requests ranging from single custom tours to multi-day group itineraries, including troubleshooting real-time issues.

  • Proactively suggest creative ideas and unique experiences to enhance the client’s journey.

  • Request, build, and maintain tour content, pricing, and logistics for group shore excursions and land-based custom programs.

  • Coordinate group tour capacities, schedules, and operational details with tour operators.

  • Update operators and travel advisors on itinerary changes, schedule revisions, or availability updates.

  • Assist travel advisors and group leaders with questions, concerns, and booking support.

  • Monitor penalty schedules, vendor agreements, cost confirmations, and operational deadlines for groups.

  • Review guest feedback on custom and group programs and share actionable insights with vendors and partners.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, power point.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and problem solve in a fast past environment.

  • Ability to manage changing priorities and meet deadlines

  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

  • Strong analytical capabilities with a high level of attention to detail

  • Works well independently and as part of a team

  • Is fluent in written and spoken English (Other languages desirable)
