The following is an overview of the role and what we are looking for in a successful candidate.

Position Overview & Purpose

The Staff Accountant will provide support to the Accounting Department by assisting with daily accounting tasks, maintaining accurate financial records, and helping with month-end and year-end close processes.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Accounting & Reporting

·

Prepare journal entries and assist with account reconciliations.

·

Help compile financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

·

Support month-end and year-end closing activities.

Accounts Payable & Receivable

·

Process vendor invoices and employee reimbursements.

·

Post payments and maintain accurate receivables records.

·

Assist with reconciling vendor statements and resolving discrepancies.

General Ledger Maintenance

·

Maintain organized and accurate records of transactions.

·

Ensure proper coding to accounts and cost centers.

Tax & Compliance

·

Assist with preparation of 1099s and business license renewals.

·

Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Audit Support

·

Provide documentation and schedules to support audits.

·

Help with implementing auditor recommendations.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

·

Knowledge of basic accounting principles and GAAP.

·

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Netsuite, Tipalti, Concur a plus).

·

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

·

Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

·

Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Basic Qualifications & Competencies

·

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).

·

1–3 years of accounting experience (internships or entry-level roles considered).

·

Must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications & Competencies

·

Experience with ERP or financial systems.

·

Previous industry experience in telecommunications, technology, or ISP a plus.

·

Working toward CPA or other relevant certification a plus.

Physical Demands & Working Environment

·

Walking – up to 30%

·

Reaching – up to 10%

·

Lifting and/or bending – up to 10%

·

Work environment – indoors

·

Able to lift – up to 30 pounds

·

Travel: 5%
