Litigation Counsel

📋 Description

• Lead strategy and oversight for all litigation and pre-litigation disputes.
• Manage outside counsel and coordinate with internal stakeholders.
• Advise leadership on litigation risk and regulatory exposure.
• Direct Whatnot’s response to regulatory inquiries and investigations.
• Collaborate with Legal, Public Policy, Trust & Risk, and Communications.
• Build and mentor a team for investigations and dispute management.

🎯 Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school; active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
• 10+ years of experience handling complex litigation, investigations, and enforcement matters.
• Demonstrated success managing external counsel and coordinating across internal stakeholders.
• Substantial experience interfacing with U.S. federal and state regulatory bodies.
• Preferred: experience with marketplace, platform, or e-commerce companies.
• Preferred: understanding of consumer protection, privacy, and advertising laws.
