Lightmatter is seeking an experienced Sr. Staff Corporate Communication Manager to be the driving force behind our external narrative, media relations, and corporate visibility. This role is crucial for establishing and maintaining Lightmatter’s position as a technology leader across the AI/HPC infrastructure and semiconductor industries.
You will be responsible for managing the full spectrum of external communications, ensuring a consistent, compelling, and accurate voice across all channels. This position requires exceptional professional media and communications experience, coupled with strong oral and written communications skills.
Key Responsibilities External Communications & Narrative Development- Develop, maintain, and execute the company's comprehensive external communications strategy and corporate narrative, ensuring alignment with Lightmatter's business goals, talent acquisition and product strategies.
- Own the full lifecycle of press release writing and pitching, from drafting and internal alignment to executing targeted media outreach.
- Support the content development and narrative strategy for executive speakerships and conference presentations, preparing spokespeople for key industry engagements.
- Support crisis communications planning and coordinate execution as needed.
- Act as the primary liaison and point of contact for Lightmatter’s external PR agency, ensuring efficient collaboration, clear strategic direction, and seamless execution of media outreach and related campaigns.
- Manage the execution of industry analyst relations (AR) programs, securing high-impact coverage and positive positioning.
- Serve as the internal coordinator and external interface to event organizers and media partners for the purpose of maximizing visibility around Lightmatter announcements and participation at industry events.
- Lead the monitoring and timely reporting on all media, analyst, and social coverage related to Lightmatter, key competitors, and the photonic interconnect market.
- Develop, track, and report on key communication metrics, including Share of Voice (SOV), media sentiment, and periodic perceptual audits.
- Manage and utilize media monitoring platforms (if and when available) to gather insights, track performance, and inform strategy.
- Plan and execute media and analyst engagement activities related to industry events and conferences, ensuring productive interviews and briefing schedules.
- Collaborate with Product Marketing to support analyst and ecosystem education initiatives, providing communication expertise and strategic outreach.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in Corporate Communications, Public Relations (PR), Analyst Relations (AR) and/or Media Relations, preferably within the semiconductor, AI/networking hardware, deep-tech, or B2B information technology sector.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex PR programs, including direct responsibility for press release development, pitching, and media placement.
- Exceptional command of both oral and written communications with a portfolio showcasing high-level communication strategy and execution.
- Proven ability to manage external vendor relationships, specifically acting as the primary point of contact for an external PR agency.
- Experience in media monitoring, analysis, and reporting using industry-standard platforms (e.g., Meltwater, Cision, etc.).
- Prior experience working closely with technology analysts (e.g., Gartner, IDC, industry-specific firms).
- Familiarity with the technical landscape of AI infrastructure, networking, silicon photonics, or high-performance computing (HPC).
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
