Licensed School-Based Mental Health Clinician (Float Clinician)

📋 Description

• Delivers clinical interventions for students and families to support academics and mental health.
• Provides group therapy, individual counseling, and family counseling with demonstrated competency.
• Leads monthly Parent Support groups as needed.
• Refers students/families to appropriate level of care with supervisor.
• Improves collaboration within the interdisciplinary care team.
• Builds relationships with school administration, district leadership, teachers, and paraprofessionals.

🎯 Requirements

• Travel across districts within assigned area (no more than 1 school per day).
• 2+ years of experience treating children/adolescents with significant behavioral and emotional challenges.
• Hold a clinical license (LSW/LCSW, LAC/LPC, LAMFT/LMFT) in the offered state.
• Must hold or have applied for NJ School Social Work Certification (required for social workers).
• Effective problem solving and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and completing clinical documentation.
