We’re looking for a talented Insurance Product Manager who is eager to join us in creating the most loved Car insurance on the planet. This is an exciting time to join our team as we expand our Car product offering and drive innovation in the insurance space. Your work will be critical in shaping the future of our Car insurance, ensuring it's fast, simple, and delightful for our customers.

As part of the Insurance Product team, you’ll have strong collaboration with our Actuarial, Insurance Operations, and Underwriting experts to ensure we profitably grow Lemonade’s Car product, crafting an experience that makes insurance fast, simple, and delightful. You will help drive forward our product roadmap, while monitoring and measuring the progress of key initiatives.

In this role you’ll

  • Manage the effectiveness of current product performance, monitor results, and recommend improvements and enhancements to continuously elevate our Car insurance offering

  • Measure the impact of product changes to support future learnings and data-driven decision-making, ensuring our product evolves intelligently

  • Build comprehensive product specification documents, identify project requirements, and partner with the Product team to prioritize and implement new features that delight our customers

  • Research distribution channels, market trends, and competitor actions, making relevant recommendations to profitably grow the car business and maintain our competitive edge

  • Advance our countrywide product and car strategy through forms, coverages, policy language, and rating plan sophistication, ensuring we offer cutting-edge protection

  • Partner with actuarial and underwriting experts to work on the development of coverage, pricing adequacy and accuracy, and eligibility requirements, balancing innovation with financial soundness

  • Collaborate with the Insurance Operations team to facilitate regulatory approval for product changes, such as new features, rate changes, or product enhancements, ensuring seamless implementation

What you’ll need

  • 7+ years of P&C experience, with a minimum of 5+ years of personal lines insurance experience in either product development, product management, or state management

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Strong collaborative spirit and exceptional written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective teamwork across departments

  • A strategic thinker, willing to challenge the status quo and open-minded to creative solutions that redefine insurance

  • Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail, with a knack for identifying trends and taking action to optimize product performance

  • Strong technical skills (SQL, Looker, or similar systems), including experience building dashboards or reports, preferred

  • Advanced Microsoft Office or Google Suite skills

  • Excellent organizational and project management capabilities, comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to work in a remote environment

  • Enthusiasm about learning and adapting to the exciting world of AI – a commitment to exploring this field is a fundamental part of our culture
