Community Manager Intern

We're looking for a content community management intern to help us manage our presence and reputation on Reddit. You'll be our eyes and ears in Reddit communities, responding to reviews, engaging in conversations about Lemonade, and turning online mentions into positive brand experiences.

This role is perfect for someone who understands Reddit's unique culture and can authentically engage without coming across as corporate or spammy. You'll be joining our organic growth team at a time when community-driven conversations directly impact how people and AI discover and trust Lemonade.

In this role you'll

• Monitor Reddit for mentions of Lemonade, responding to reviews and comments in an authentic, helpful way

• Engage in relevant subreddits where insurance, pet, renters, and homeowners questions come up naturally

• Use ChatGPT and other AI tools to craft responses that feel genuinely Lemonade while scaling your impact

• Turn negative reviews into opportunities to show how we handle problems and care about customers

• Collaborate with our content specialists to come up with content ideas around reviews and common customer questions

• Collaborate with our customer experience team when Reddit conversations surface real product issues

• Track sentiment and engagement metrics to understand what types of responses work best

• Stay on top of Reddit trends and community dynamics that could impact how we engage

What you'll need

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a marketing degree (or equivalent experience)

• Deep understanding of Reddit culture, etiquette, and how different subreddits operate

• Experience with ChatGPT and AI tools for content creation and community management

• Strong writing skills that can match Reddit's conversational, authentic tone

• Community management experience (even informal - Discord servers, Facebook groups, etc.)

• Ability to handle criticism and negative feedback while staying helpful and professional

• Comfortable working 20 hours per week with flexible scheduling

• Ability to work in an office environment a minimum of 1 day a week

• Enthusiasm about learning and adapting to the exciting world of AI. A commitment to exploring this field is a fundamental part of our culture

The hourly rate for this role is $25/hour
