We’re looking for an empathetic Claims Experience Advocate who will help us settle PIP/MedPay losses quickly and efficiently.
As an essential part of the Claims Experience Car team at Lemonade, you’ll work closely with both policyholders and vendors to quickly find a resolution to PIP/MedPay claims. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Underwriting and SIU, to assess risk and investigate losses—all while providing a best-in-class customer experience. This role is critical for ensuring our policyholders receive prompt and fair claim resolutions, directly contributing to Lemonade's mission of making insurance lovable.
Investigate, evaluate, and adjudicate the medical aspects of claims while maintaining a high level of customer service
Review and research policy contracts, regulations, and injury causation to make accurate coverage decisions
Accurately document files to include all key claims activities, providing clear and concise records
Resolve internal and external customer inquiries in a timely manner, ensuring a smooth experience
Ensure our customers receive a world-class customer experience by consistently exceeding expectations
Process medical bills for our insureds timely and accurately
4+ years handling PIP/MedPay auto claims
Auto insurance license required
Familiarity with Mitchell Decision Point, and adaptable to other new technology and tools
Knowledge of New York and New Jersey PIP claim handling is preferred
Comfortable articulating yourself on the phone as well as via email
Strong understanding of limits issues and authority
Ability to work in a remote environment
Enthusiasm about learning and adapting to the exciting world of AI – a commitment to exploring this field is a fundamental part of our culture

Lemonade's US base salary range for this full-time position is $70,000 - $85,000 plus equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
