slack excel workday pivot tablesWe're looking for an Accounts Payable Manager who gets excited about turning financial chaos into seamless systems. You'll lead our AP team and be the person everyone counts on to keep money flowing smoothly while we scale globally.
As we grow our insurance offerings and expand into new markets, having bulletproof financial operations isn't just nice to have, it's essential for serving our customers better. You'll be the go to person who makes sure our bills get paid, our vendors stay happy, and our finance team can focus on the big picture stuff.
What you'll do
Lead and mentor our Accounts Payable team; think daily operations, invoice processing, payment runs, and keeping everyone (vendors included) happy and informed
Own the full AP cycle from start to finish, including reconciliations, our corporate credit card program, and making sure every expense makes sense
Build and execute a strategy for automation that makes our processes faster and more accurate (because who has time for manual data entry?)
Make our month-end close process so smooth that Finance actually looks forward to it
Partner with Finance, Engineering, and other teams to keep financial data flowing seamlessly across all our systems
Create and track KPIs that give senior leadership clear visibility into our financial health and operational wins
You'll work with smart, collaborative people across Finance, Claims, Underwriting, Growth, Customer Experience, and Business Development—all while helping us scale operations that span continents
What you'll need
5+ years of accounts payable experience, with a track record of leading teams and getting stuff done
You've led AP functions at high-growth companies and know what it takes to scale without breaking things
You communicate clearly (both writing and speaking) and catch details others miss
You build relationships easily, whether it's with the engineering team or external vendors
You thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments where priorities can shift quickly
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables are your friend)
Workday ERP experience preferred
Experience with Slack or similar modern communication tools is a plus
College Degree
Ability to work in our NYC office 3 days per week
Enthusiasm about learning and adapting to the exciting world of AI; exploring this field is a fundamental part of our culture

Lemonade's US base salary range for this full-time position is $120,000 - $135,000 plus equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
