Legal Counsel - Commerce & Subscriptions

📋 Description

• Provide practical, commercially-focused legal advice to product/engineering/design teams.
• Support monetisation models incl. subscriptions, add-ons, purchases, and affiliates.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements with external partners.
• Advise on consumer-facing features, UX, pricing, and terms of service for compliance.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to grow Spotify’s commerce and subscriptions.
• Build understanding of subscriptions, payments, and customer support ops.

🎯 Requirements

• Qualified to practice in the UK or EU with 4+ years in law firms or in-house.
• Experience advising on ecommerce, digital consumer transactions, or subscriptions.
• Well-versed in online commerce law, consumer protection, payments, and data privacy.
• Able to explain complex legal concepts to non-legal audiences.
• Comfortable across diverse legal topics and with ambiguity and change.
• Builds strong relationships and collaborates across teams.
