About the role
Our core product aligns with and empowers developers to build the financial applications they are passionate about. As a Staff Software Engineer, you will take a leading role developing and building the product line that will underpin the future of the financial ecosystem. We are looking for a highly motivated, resilient problem-solver. Someone who seeks out challenges and is ready to implement compelling solutions to complex problems. Your role will consist of knowledge sharing across the entire engineering team, and mentoring and coaching individuals as well.
Requirements
10+ years of experience in backend software engineering, with deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices.
Strong experience with PostgreSQL, REST APIs, and scalable system design.
Proven ability to build and maintain production-grade distributed systems in cloud environments.
Drive engineering excellence through reviews, technical mentorship, and best practices.
To be self-motivated and comfortable with autonomy, taking ownership end-to-end from design through production monitoring.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to multidisciplinary teams and influence positive outcomes.
Clear product sense and a true passion for technology and a drive to solve problems at scale, keeping the customer at the forefront of every decision.
Track record of mentorship, elevating technical quality across teams, and influencing without authority.
Bonus
Strong foundation in Python.
Experience working with credit risk and underwriting solutions.
Startup/fast-paced environment experience preferred.
Hands-on experience across ML/AI infrastructure domains (e.g., feature stores, pipelines, deployment, inference, observability) or data engineering domain.
