Lead, Propulsion Test Responsible Engineer

📋 Description

• Responsible Engineer for propulsion test articles (primarily combustion devices).
• Develop test plans with product owners; execute campaigns with Stennis test team.
• Own exploratory operation of new/existing test article designs; evaluate hardware behavior.
• Lead testing efforts: write test sequences, review data, tooling, and testing tasks.
• Mentor a team of engineers; manage priorities and provide technical guidance.
• May participate in stage tests and flight campaigns; travel up to 25%.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or technology field.
• 4+ years in complex engineering system development and/or test.
• Experience with fluid mechanics and thermodynamics.
• Experience with combustion devices, valves, heat exchangers, or instrumentation.
• Leadership potential; mentoring and managing projects or teams.
• Exposure to test operations environments.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced startup setting.
