📋 Description

• Hybrid role in San Carlos, CA and remote within the US.
• Lead ML Scientist in Bioinformatics R&D for Epigenomics in Oncology.
• Design, implement, and validate ML methods for cancer diagnostics.
• Build robust feature pipelines for biological and sequencing data.
• Prototype and productionize models using MLflow, Airflow, and Docker.
• Collaborate with molecular biologists on experiments and data quality.

🎯 Requirements

• PhD in CS/ML/Statistics/Bioinformatics with 6+ years post-PhD.
• Deep expertise in ML models (GLMs, kernels, trees, neural nets) for bio data.
• Proficiency in Python and NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn.
• Strong cross-functional communication across disciplines.
• Strong scientific rigor and growth mindset; eager to teach and learn.
• Nice to have: PyTorch/TensorFlow/JAX; LangChain; Hugging Face deployments.
