Lead Legal Counsel, Lending Partnerships

📋 Description

• Serve as primary legal contact for Lending Partnerships.
• Draft and negotiate commercial agreements, including SaaS licenses.
• Advise internal teams on legal risks while enabling growth.
• Handle diverse tasks from drafting contracts to strategic projects.
• Collaborate with sales, product, and finance to resolve issues quickly.
• Work in a fast-paced, regulated environment with B2B SaaS focus.

🎯 Requirements

• J.D. and bar admission (NY or CA preferred).
• 7+ years transactional law firm or in-house experience.
• Experience drafting/negotiating B2B SaaS agreements in regulated environments.
• Proven ability to lead intense negotiations and partner with sales leadership.
• Strong problem-solving mindset and ownership to drive matters.
• High standards; desire to mentor and build scalable processes.
• Preferred: 10+ years in fintech/financial services or in-house.
• Willingness to tackle AI and data issues with a solutions mindset.
