Lead Integration & Additive Engineer

📋 Description

• Operate in a fast-paced production environment, bridging R&D and manufacturing.
• Manage and optimize a 24/7 print farm, maximizing uptime and throughput.
• Own mass-production slicing strategies for scale, speed, and print quality.
• Develop automation pipelines using Python and MAVLink for print workflows, monitoring, and system control.
• Lead batch validation processes to speed end-of-line testing.
• Diagnose rapid hardware repairs, minimizing downtime.
• Implement preventative maintenance to improve equipment reliability and lifespan.
• Troubleshoot complex integration across hardware, firmware, and software.
• Drive continuous improvement in print quality, yield, and process efficiency.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware engineering, firmware/software teams, and operations.
• Support scaling from prototyping to high-volume production with repeatable processes.
• Establish and track metrics: uptime, yield, throughput, and failure rates.
• Interface with external vendors and equipment providers as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in additive manufacturing in production environments
• Expertise in mass-production slicing and print optimization
• Experience in high-throughput or 24/7 production settings
• M.Sc. in Robotics, Embedded Systems, Mechatronics, or related field
• Proficiency in Python and MAVLink-based automation
• Hardware troubleshooting and rapid repair capabilities
• Experience with slicing software, print farm tools, and monitoring systems
• Familiarity with embedded systems, firmware debugging, and hardware-software integration
• High ownership and independence in production-critical environments
• Strong problem-solving and execution under time pressure
• EU Citizenship required
