Lead Data Scientist

📋 Description

• Build frameworks to monitor AI model performance, user behavior, and product health.
• Analyze AI outputs across cohorts to identify quality gaps; create evals/metrics.
• Partner with engineering/product to define quality metrics for AI content.
• Develop statistical models and frameworks enabling data-driven product decisions.
• Design and analyze large-scale A/B tests and experiments with rigor.
• IC role can grow into leadership establishing Gamma's Data function.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years as a data scientist at product-focused tech companies; mentoring.
• Strong stats; hands-on with designing/analyzing A/B tests at scale.
• Large-scale data experience; build metrics from scratch; dbt and Snowflake.
• Experience with AI/ML products, esp. LLMs/generative AI, with production eval.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Nice-to-have: enthusiasm for agentic coding and applying AI.
