Lead Data Engineer

📋 Description

• Own and operate data warehouse, pipelines, and transformation layer

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines from internal and third-party sources

• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to deliver clean datasets and optimize queries

• Incrementally improve and modernize existing data systems; assess, prioritize, migrate thoughtfully

• Implement data quality monitoring, alerting, and documentation practices

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years in data engineering, ideally at a high-growth startup

• Hands-on with BigQuery, dbt, and Dagster/Airflow

• Strong SQL; fluency in Golang or Python

• Track record of iterative data system modernization

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Bonus: data observability; ML feature pipelines; in-house transition
