Lead Counsel - NYC

📋 Description

• Independently negotiate and close complex SaaS agreements with public sector customers.
• Counsel on federal/state procurement laws, including FAR/DFARS and cybersecurity.
• Serve as primary legal advisor to U.S. public sector GTM teams.
• Partner with Product Legal and Security on features and gov't compliance.
• Create scalable processes, templates, and training for public-sector growth.
• Manage registrations required by public sector customers.
• Coach and mentor Commercial Legal on contracting issues and risk.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years in government contracting (federal/state/local) with SaaS.
• Translate gov procurement and compliance into commercial SaaS models.
• In-depth knowledge of federal/state contracting requirements.
• Independently review and negotiate SaaS agreements, BAAs, privacy docs.
• Cross-functional collaboration with technical, business, and exec stakeholders.
• High integrity, judgment, and collaboration; strong stakeholder relationships.
• JD and US bar; active US security clearance or ability to obtain.
