๐Ÿ“‹ Description

  • Lead data/privacy counsel for US & Americas; advise on data protection, AI, cybersecurity.
  • Spearhead AI governance; develop policies, mitigations, accountability.
  • Develop privacy programs for the Americas; GLBA, FCRA, CalFIPA; state privacy.
  • Partner with Product/Engineering/InfoSec to embed privacy-by-design; DPIAs/PIAs.
  • Draft/negotiates DPAs and cross-border transfer terms; AI clauses.
  • Coordinate international data flows; SCCs; data localisation.

๐ŸŽฏ Requirements

  • U.S. legal qualification (active license) in at least one US jurisdiction.
  • 8 years of experience in in-house legal dept or private practice advising on technology and privacy.
  • Strong knowledge of US privacy laws (CCPA/CPRA, GLBA) + GDPR/LGPD.
  • Experience guiding US adtech privacy requirements and consent frameworks.
  • Partner with Product/Engineering/InfoSec to translate regulatory into practical designs.
  • Experience advising on AI governance and AI/ML tools from a privacy perspective.
  • Experience providing data/privacy legal support during security incidents (assessment, notifications, remediation).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to explain complex legal concepts to non-lawyers and executives.
