📋 Description

• Accurately code diagnoses from chart data per regs.
• Ensure docs support level of care; apply ICD-10-CM, CPT for billing.
• Clarify docs with physicians to ensure accurate diagnoses and procedures.
• Issue queries to providers for ambiguous or incomplete documentation.
• Stay updated on coding guidelines, clinical protocols, and regulatory changes.
• Collaborate with compliance, revenue cycle, and quality teams to improve documentation.

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; coding credentials required (CPC/CRC/CCS/CPMA or similar).
• 3+ years of outpatient medical coding experience.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCC.
• Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work in a primarily remote environment with strong self-discipline.
