Lead Backend Engineer

📋 Description

• Design and develop scalable, secure, and configurable platform services for the Provider Servicing Team.
• Lead backend development and support of services across backend (Java/Spring Cloud) and integration platforms (Mulesoft and others).
• Utilize AI-powered developer tools (Copilot, Cursor, WindSurf) and actively contribute to AI adoption in development and operational aspects.
• Build and enrich APIs and data services to integrate with partners.
• Collaborate with product managers, operations analysts, customer advocates to build provider integrations.
• Lead and mentor other engineers in the team and help them succeed.

🎯 Requirements

• Experience: 10+ years as a Backend Engineer
• Java/Spring Cloud expert; microservices architecture and integration platforms
• AI tools: Regular use of AI-enhanced tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, WindSurf)
• Cloud: AWS and/or GCP experience
• Data: SQL/PostgreSQL and data-intensive services
• Systems Development: building, launching, and maintaining complex systems
• Team Collaboration: cross-functional with developers and product managers
• Communication: excellent communication across levels and teams
