Job Summary
The Tax Manager plays a leading global role in managing KEEN’s tax obligations and ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations. This role requires close collaboration and engagement with leadership, internal departments (primarily Accounting, Finance and Legal) and external tax consultants in tax planning, compliance, and strategy development to optimize tax outcomes, support business operations and mitigate risks. This role reports directly to the Global Controller at KEEN and indirectly to the Group Tax Manager at the Fuerst Group parent company level.
Essential Functions
• Collaborates with external tax consultants to ensure the accurate and timelypreparation and filing of KEEN’s U.S. federal, state, local, and Canadian taxreturns in compliance with applicable tax laws.• Ensures accurate and timely payment of all tax obligations (U.S. federal,state, local and Canada) for KEEN.• Manages U.S. indirect tax responsibilities for KEEN; including sales and usetax filings and amendments, real and business property filings, unclaimedproperty and business tax registrations, renewals, and other compliancefilings.• Works with Group Tax Manager to manage any tax audits by governmentalauthorities globally for KEEN to mitigate risk and penalties, including thepreparation of responses to any tax audit correspondence.• Assists with KEEN inter-company accounting and preparation of inter-company agreements.• Collaborates with Group Tax Manager and external tax consultants on thepreparation of annual transfer pricing documentation for KEEN entities andannual U.S. R&D tax credit studies for the Group.• Works with Group Tax Manager and external tax consultants to identify andimplement of tax-saving opportunities and strategies to help the overall Group maintain compliance, optimize tax efficiency, maximize deductionsand avoid penalties.• Monitors and updates the tax policies, controls and procedures for KEEN'sspecific needs to comply with evolving tax laws, regulations and industrytrends.• Conducts tax research with Group Tax Manager and external taxconsultants to address specific tax issues and communicate the financialimplications of complex tax concepts to KEEN and Group leadership,management and colleagues.• Collaborates with KEEN and Group leadership, management and internaldepartments at KEEN to ensure alignment with organizational goals andstrategies.

Base Salary: $130,000.00 - $145,000.00yearlyThis range represents the low and high ends of this position's anticipated base salary range. The actual base salary will depend on numerous factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, and location.
