Job Summary

The Sr. Financial Planning & Analysis Manager - Product provides analytical support and key business-decision activities for business leaders and executives within the Product Development and Merchandising Function. This role maintains information and reports financial data for business management and operating purposes and liaises with executives to solve critical issues on behalf of the Finance team. This role partners closely with executives across business units to support the achievement of financial goals.

This role is based in Portland and requires a regular presence at our global headquarters (minimum threedays per week).

Essential Functions

  • Provides financial planning and analysis support for leaders and executives through regular reporting and strategic guidance.
  • Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing financial planning and analysis procedures.
  • Support of range architecture and global price harmonization on colors/styles to support sell-through in all channels.
  • Supports the creation of margin targets for all product categories globally, partnering with product and commercial leaders to maximize margins.
  • Create best-in-class, exception-based, forward-looking analytical reporting tools, processes, and ad hoc analyses from multiple (Business Unit, Category, Region) perspectives, focusing on clear storytelling, action-oriented output, and an ongoing drive for continuous improvement.
  • Monitors global sell-through margin performance in relation to pre-season target setting.
  • Executes the annual budgeting process for the Product and Merchandising business unit.
  • Performs financial forecasting by working with department leaders to build budgets, forecasts, and global consolidation.
  • Monitors and analyzes the Product organization budgets. Performs periodic planning, forecasting, analysis, and reporting.
  • Identifies, analyzes, and reports out on business trends and past results. Monitors financial progress against company strategic goals and KPIs.
  • Reviews past and current financial performance against budgeted estimates and develops models that assist management in understanding the financial impact of business decisions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field required. MBA Preferred
  • Seven (7) or more years of related experience in a finance function.
  • Documented experience with Product and Merchandising functions is preferred.
  • Expert-level Excel skills.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication and analytical thinking skills.
  • Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, including financial statement design.
  • Proficient in MS Office, including but not limited to Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • SAP or comparable enterprise database experience required
  • Detail-oriented and works with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Experience with business planning tools (Adaptive, Anaplan, TM1, etc.) and BI Tools (PowerBI, MicroStrategy, Looker, etc.)
  • Strong project management, planning, and organization skills, including the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Base Salary: $145,260 - $161,400 yearlyThis range represents the low and high ends of the anticipated base salary range for this position. The actual base salary will depend on numerous factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, and location.
