About This Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivatedBuilding Automation Systems (BAS) Installerto join our growing Controls and Automation team. The BAS Installer will be responsible for the installation, wiring, mounting, and commissioning supportof building automation and control systems for commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities. This position requires attention to detail, strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, and the ability to work collaboratively with project teams to deliver high-quality installations that meet design specifications and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install controllers, sensors, actuators, relays, network wiring, and panelsper engineered drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Terminate control wiring, test continuity, and verify system functionality.
- Support start-up and commissioning activitiesin coordination with programmers and project engineers.
- Label, document, and organize all field wiring and components for future serviceability.
- Ensure installations meet NEC, local electrical codes, and company standards.
- Assist in the layout and mountingof control panels, enclosures, and field devices.
- Work collaboratively with HVAC, electrical, and mechanical trades to ensure smooth integration.
- Maintain accurate records of materials, hours, and project changes.
- Adhere to all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies.
- Participate in training to expand BAS technical knowledge and prepare for advancement.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1–5 years of experiencein BAS, electrical, or HVAC controls installation.
- Working knowledge of low-voltage wiring, control diagrams, and field device installation.
- Familiarity with BACnet, Modbus,Lon and IP-based networks.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and control sequences.
- Experience with Multiple BAS productspreferred.
- Basic understanding of control theory and system architecture.
- Must possess a valid driver’s licenseand be able to pass background and drug screening.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
- Experience with conduit bending and panel fabrication.
- Familiarity with network cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber).
- Certification or factory training in Distech, Honeywell, JCI or Niagara platforms.
- Ability to assist in start-up and basic system programming under guidance.
