Overview
Karat is seeking a Senior Deployment Engineer to join our team in the United States in a remote capacity. This role focuses on building scalable deployment pipelines and maintaining cloud infrastructure to support our growing product platform.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management
- Collaborate with software engineers to ensure reliable, secure, and high-performance releases
- Monitor systems, respond to incidents, and drive post-incident improvements
- Evaluate and implement tooling to improve deployment efficiency and reliability
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in deployment engineering, site reliability, or cloud infrastructure
- Strong experience with AWS and cloud-native technologies
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and automation tools (Ansible, etc.)
- Proficient in scripting languages such as Python or Bash
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
Nice to have
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch)
- Familiarity with security best practices and compliance
