The
Producer 2 is responsible for managing one or more teams and working directly with their Lead Producer to drive major features or product releases to completion. They will partner directly with the discipline Leads of each of these groups to ensure they deliver on time and with high quality. A key component of this role is to manage the critical dependencies between the groups and solve issues. As part of the Production team, they will be expected to help create and foster a collaborative, healthy, and high-performing work environment. The Producer will create production roadmaps based on backlogs and partner with product owners to establish sprint and milestone goals. The Producer will execute this plan by working with the leadership team to prioritize deliverables, manage risks, react quickly to challenges, report weekly status, and evaluate their group against deliverable completion and quality success criteria.This role is a full-time, on-site position based 5 days a week at our Downtown Vancouver studio.
In this role, you can expect to: Key Accountabilities:Leads Milestone planning, execution, and evaluation.Proactively performs risk management and mitigation.Manages both internal and outsourced content.Leads the pre production & green lighting of games or major features and then leads a team through scoping, execution and launch.Drives scoping & prioritization recommendations for the game's feature set.Balances the needs of the player experience with the needs of the business and development team.Utilizes player feedback to inform strategic decisions.Evaluates "Product Health" in multiple product phases (e.g. concept, pre-production, production, live production) and adjusts product trajectory accordingly.Ensures the maintenance of workflow documentation and drives cross-discipline collaboration.Understands and utilizes KPIs, ROI, and player feedback with Sr. Team Leadership and community feedback to inform decisions.Log, prioritize, and help resolve emergent issues.Partners with brand and marketing teams on go-to-market strategy and assets.Interacts with external partners (marketing, sales, corporate) through / with the Senior Producer / Executive Producer.Called upon to represent the product or features at public events and initiatives.Works independently and ensures features meet the creative standards and product vision set by the Executive Producer.Articulates the goal of a feature as it supports the broad vision in a manner that effectively guides the development team to success. Works with Development Directors and Senior Producers to establish and communicate the appropriate level of scope for a feature.Leadership:Communicates goals to the team and motivates them to execute on time and at a high-quality level.Oversees multiple features on a game, or an entire area of a game.Provides leadership and mentorship to individuals of the games leads group and in some cases, manage Associate Producers, and Producers.Assists with knowledge and skill development for others; inspires and encourages teamwork.Sets the tone for positive team culture and contributes to great culture at Kabam.Collaborates with a cross-discipline team to lead game development or associated features and content from concept to release.Mentors Associate Producers and helps them grow as Producers.Participates in the hiring process for Producers and Designers. Communicates and reinforces the high level vision of the game from the point of view of the target consumer.Contributes to a stimulating and fun work culture. To be successful in this role, your background includes: Post-Secondary degree in related field.5+ years of production experience on Mobile, Console or PC products.2+ years of production experience with a variety of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, etc.).2+ years of experience managing development projects from concept all the way to ship.Direct experience producing all major game phases (e.g. concept, pre-production, production, live production).
