Junior Backend Engineer, Discovery

📋 Description

• Design, build, and operate high-performance backend services in Kotlin and Go.
• Own services end-to-end: requirements, design, delivery, testing, CI/CD, deployment.
• Translate product and user needs into scalable, low-latency solutions; run experiments.
• Collaborate with Product Leads, Frontend, Data, and ML teams on search, ranking, personalization.
• Drive reliability, observability, and efficiency through tests, logging, tracing, and alerts.
• Continuously improve technical quality by reducing tech debt and architecture refinements.

🎯 Requirements

• Solid engineering fundamentals; 1-2 years building production backend services.
• Genuine enthusiasm for AI-first development; daily use of AI tools.
• End-to-end ownership mindset; break down problems, ensure tests, and ship.
• Ability to work independently and drive projects with minimal guidance.
• Product and execution thinking; operate well in ambiguous environments.
• Experience operating in production environments; debug live issues.
